The topic of children's health for most parents is more important than the topic of health of their own. That, in general, it is logical. But, unfortunately, often the importance of this issue is only theoretically and somehow abstract ... Well, yes, everyone wants the child to be healthy, mobile, energetic, well studied at school (which implies good concentration and memory work) - but not everyone deliberately reflects, of which the energy level is fundamentally composed, increased concentration of attention, and banal, it would seem, immunity. Of course from food! The child's immune system is actively formed before the 7th year and it is very important what kind of lifestyle the child leads in this period and what feeds on.

   My children do not eat meat, animal products (except eggs) and dairy products. How and why I do not want to discuss for a long time, and especially don't want to convince someone for such a variant. At us so has developed organically. We also do not use refined sugar and white flour in any variants, as well as commercial sweets and other, attracting the children's eyes with their packing pieces. The kinder-surprise, that attract all kids for my children is very interesting also. Only the moment of unfoldment. They do not even know that chocolate is suitable for eating and immediately sends it to the garbage.

   What, in what quantities and why should each parent give his or her own child, but that in the diet of children, as well as adults, there should be a lot of vegetables, fruits, whole cereals and as little sugar and refined foods with a good share of chemistry . I understand that to force children to eat greens, to refuse snacks and drink clean water without gas is another task, especially if they have not been vaccinated since childhood. But all these issues can be solved if the parents really set the task to lay the foundation for proper habits and healthy nutrition for their child.

   1. The Council is the first and most important - to change anything in the lives of people around you can only by own example. If the parents have sandwiches with bacon for breakfast, beer with chips for watching your favorite TV show, and in the house in the center of the table there are always a vase with sweets, wafers and dryers, then you can not say your kids, that they should eat salad and fruit. They will not believe you. If this is so good why don't you do it yourself?

   2. Even in families where everything is in order with the first item and adults regularly eat all kinds of greens, it is not always easy to offer it to a child, especially in pure form. Smoothies are an easy and tasty way out of the situation. Add a bunch of spinach or parsley (arugula, all that comes to mind) banana, kiwi, you can get some honey and a little water and beat it in a blender. There is enough for that.

   3. If your children can not live without snacks, make a healthy version at home. Buy organic corn and experiment with varieties of sweet and salted popcorn, adding cane sugar, cinnamon or Himalayan salt. In the dehydrator you can learn to make delicious potato chips, and from the chickpea soaked for the night and baked in the oven with spices - cheerful and useful crispy.

   4. Sweets. No way without them! Keep frozen bananas in the freezer. You can quickly make ice cream in a blender, with a spoon of cocoa, honey or peanut butter. The last one , by the way, can also be made at home if you have a powerful blender, adding a little honey and Himalayan salt. I make chocolate for my children by myself. For them in fact, everything was started. They do not like baked thing very much, but sometimes i make oatmeal cookies or a cupcake (see recipes), and when we want a something sweet , we completely replace it with dates.

   5. Cook with children. They love the process of rolling out dough and squeezing of it a figured biscuit or putting crispy vegetables on pizza. It is better to replace the flour with whole-grain flour, spelled flour or buckwheat, rice, coconut if you are not a supporter of gluten. On the Internet, there are a lot of recipes for an alternative version of the classic test.

   6. Add more useful fats to your diet. They feed the cells of the brain, and this is directly related to the good performance at school, which was discussed above. Add in the smoothies ground flaxseed, avocado, coconut oil, chia seeds (they make a delicious pudding), nut milk. Offer nuts as a snack, after being soaked for the night in the water, so it better for digestion. Well, a good source of useful fats is a wild fish, unless, of course, your child "master" it in a disguised state.

   7. If your children do not like soups (which is also common) due to the fact that there is "something wrong swimming", cook the soup-puree. This is nowhere easier: boil all vegetables for 10-15 minutes, add olive oil and whisk with a blender. I can pour some more pumpkin or hemp seeds.

   8. Always keep in mind that the taste buds of the baby are more sensitive and not spoiled, especially in young children and what you find tasteless or under-salted, on children tongue can start playing with a bright palatable palette. Do not try to sweeten the tasteless, in your opinion, porridge or add salt to vegetable mashed potatoes. Give first try as is.

   9. Children, like adults, need to drink a lot. I think everyone knows that it is not soda, not cola, not juices from packages, and not even home compote, but simple clean water, because all of the above is not water. Poor concentration of attention on lessons, by the way, can also be associated with dehydration of the body.

   10. Make sure that the water is not made of plastic bottles. Plastic is very toxic, and soft plastic especially. You do not know how long the water is in this bottle, where and how it was stored, how long it was heated in the sun or maybe it was freezing. Buy your child a bright bottle of stainless steel, and home a quality filter. It will be a good investment and long-term money saving.

   The principles by which I feed my children are, of course, often criticized by others. Like, give the children "normal food" and that I deprive them of something important in life and that they will grow up, try it anyway and go to "all the hard." Of course, they will grow up and try ... Does this mean that we must begin to "temper" them from early childhood? They in fact also will try alcohol. Right?
